Search and Research #17

Sometimes I'm not sure what people are thinking when they check out 30 or more books at a time. It seems like they always ask for a bag, and they wind up with a full backback, and three bags full of books. Those times, I really do wish I had a wheelbarrow I could lend out. It would make my job so much easier. Enjoy!

*On a side note, the book you see this girl holding is a book my friend Matthew and I are working on. While it's not yet published...we hope to see it soon!

*Also, that turtle in the back is a character named Turtlewax that my friend Jason created in American Government class in college. He always seems to die in ironic ways in the little comics Jason draws. I needed a picture to be on the wall, so why not throw in a little inside joke, right?

Pretty funny stuff bro...I like Opal. I'd like to see her tell Marc that he reminds her of her grandson and then proceeds to go on and on in an old lady fashion.
just a thought...good characters create good characters-you're a character

When I was in grad school, I checked out around 100 books from the Indiana University library once. I had to make like 4 or 5 trips to my car! I think I was famous by the time I finally left for the day.

I had a patron once who always brought in a rolling suitcase to put all her books in. We were such a small library that I would have to write the due date in each book. Writers cramp. This is great stuff. I'm really enjoying. Keep it up.

Ha! You threw in TurtleWax! That's awesome. I need to go dig those old strips out and maybe post them on my blog or something. Too bad I didn't do more than 3 or 4 of them...

Wow Ruth, 100 books! I've had a lot of books out at the same time, but that more than tops me!
